Enterprise Bank hires two new directors

LOWELL – Enterprise Bank recently welcomed two new members to its board of directors and its holding company.

Enterprise announced Wednesday that Anita R. Worden and Nickolas Stavropoulos were appointed to the bank’s board and the board of Enterprise Bancorp, Inc. While this is Worden’s first tenure with Enterprise, Stavropoulos previously served on the boards of Enterprise Bank and Enterprise Bancorp, Inc. from 2002 to 2011. He stepped down when he relocated to California.

“Enterprise Bank is fortunate to be able to attract directors who are such accomplished leaders, having built and led successful businesses and high-performing teams,” Enterprise CEO Jack Clancy said in a release. “Their wealth of knowledge and experience bring to Enterprise a broad range of skills and perspectives. We are confident that their leadership and guidance will have a meaningful impact on the future of Enterprise Bank and the communities we serve.”

Both new directors have a plethora of experience on their resumes.

Anita R. Worden

Worden is the co-founder, CEO and director of Yaskawa Solectria Solar, formerly known as Solectria Renewables, LLC, based in Lawrence. A graduate of MIT, her focus started with developing high-techn companies working on renewable energy and electric-vehicle technology. She then helped improve the Greater Lawrence community by encouraging more education on science, technology, language, mathematics and food security.

She is a trustee for Northern Essex Community College, the Essex County Community Foundation and the Youth Development Organization.

Nickolas Stavropoulos

Stavropoulos’ California relocation was the result of being president and chief operating officer of the San Francisco-based Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Before that, he served as executive vice president and COO for National Grid USA from 2007 to 2011.

While he was president of KeySpan Energy Delivery, Stavropoulos led the company’s gas-distribution group, field operations, sales and marketing teams.

Enterprise Bank has 25 Massachusetts branches, including in Lowell, Chelmsford, Dracut, Fitchburg and Leominster.
