I scream, you scream … we all screamed for ice-cream sundaes on July 21 — even though it was a Wednesday — when Hidden Battles Foundation hosted a successful Ice Cream Social. This dreamy social was held at Heritage Farm located on the scenic Merrimack River.
It was a scorcher of a day, but the socially distanced event drew in more than 70 supporters, families and friends who all cooled down while making and eating their very own tasty, sweet sundaes.
Money raised helped Team Hidden Battles reach their goal for the Swim with a Mission virtual swim/kayak event, according to Leslie Cregg-Hyder, Hidden Battles’ event director. On July 24, 40 dedicated members of Team Hidden Battles gathered at Newfound Lake in Bristol, N.H., and completed a 10K virtual event in memory of the 89 New Hampshire U.S. service members who have been killed in action during the War on Terrorism.
Hidden Battles strives to help preserve the healthy minds of military/veterans, law enforcement, fire, EMS, corrections, dispatch and nursing workers through treatment and counseling for depression, suicidal tendencies and PTSD.
Way to go, team. Special thank-you to Leslie Cregg-Hyder for all of the great information and photos. For more information, visit www.hiddenbattlesfoundation.org.
