Dining Around Dracut

Rotary Club of Dracut was back strong on March 4, when it hosted its annual, award-winning event Dining Around Dracut at Lenzi’s.

More than 500 food connoisseurs stood in line, waiting patiently to sample delicious specialties from 32 restaurants, bakers and caterers.

And the winners were: Primo Pizza for best soup and appetizer; Brown & Budnick Meats for best entree; Ella May’s Country Kitchen & Bakery for best dessert; and Sugar Coated Bakery for best presentation.

Proceeds from Dining Around Dracut help Rotary’s efforts to continue to provide funding for the Dracut Scholarship Foundation, Catie’s Closet, Dracut High School National Business Honor Society, Dracut Food Bank, MS is BS, End 68 Hours of Hunger, and the personal needs of individuals in the community.

This single event raised $18,000. Rotary Club of Dracut is celebrating 50 years of enhancing lives and services. Its members most certainly live up to their motto, “Service above self.”
